In 2012-2013 six photographers were selected for one-month residencies at Newspace Center for Photography. Each residency included a $2,000 stipend, access to the Center’s darkroom, lighting studio, and digital lab facilities during business hours. Residents were also awarded a $500 in-house credit to be used towards digital printing costs (covers per print charges).
The program was intended to support talented, self-directed emerging/mid-career photographers in realizing their artistic goals and visions. Resident artists also served as a source of inspiration and guidance for the many students and beginning photographers who create and learn at the Center.
A catalog featuring each photographer and their work was printed at the conclusion of the pilot Newspace Residency program. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to purchase a copy.
