Description: This hands-on class is designed for the first time film shooter or for those who need a refresher in the darkroom. You will learn how to process film and make black and white prints in the traditional darkroom. You will learn valuable darkroom techniques, including dodging and burning, contrast filters, and tray chemistry. After this class you will be fully capable to use Newspace’s Darkroom during open community hours! This class is recommended for beginners.
Class fee includes unlimited access to the community darkroom throughout the month of the class.
Prerequisites: Students must have an SLR film camera with shutter speed and aperture controls. Cameras are available to rent from Newspace.
