This class is an investigation of the power of storytelling in photography. You’ll learn how to use your photography as a tool for telling the stories that are important to you and your life. Drawing from the world of cinema and the history of storytelling, class will focus on building an evocative body of work with attention to narrative detail.

You’ll learn to synthesize disparate threads of meaning in your work and to develop a clearer direction for your vision. Class will include creative assignments, in-depth discussions, feedback on student work, and slide presentations.

Students should bring up to 10 prints to class.
