Studio Lighting Crash Course

Level 1

Saturday, May 7th

10-6pm

$135

This one-day intensive provides a crash course style introduction to basic studio lighting, gear, and safety. If you don’t have the time in your schedule to take a more comprehensive, multi-week class, this class will help you get off on the right foot.

Pro photographer Lorenzo Triburgo will show you how to set up and use both hot lights and strobes. You’ll learn some handy basic lighting setups as you experiment with light modifiers and backdrops. Lorenzo will also address safety and handling issues, as well as equipment care.

Manual camera proficiency required. Students must have SLR cameras with shutter speed and aperture controls to take this class. Students should bring cameras and may shoot with film or digitally.

Lorenzo Triburgo (sounds like try-BIR-go) lives in west-coast-Portland, was born and raised in New York, NY, makes photographs and picked up an MFA in 2005 from School of Visual Arts in New York, NY.
