On Assignment: Lan Su Chinese Garden
(L2-4)
Two Sundays, August 8th 9:30am-1pm
& August 22nd 10am-1pm (review session)
$85
Based on a traditional garden built during the Ming Dynasty in Suzhou, China, the Lan Su Chinese
Garden is a piece of living history - and an unparalleled photographic experience. Ornately detailed
pavilions, pebble-lined courtyards, mirror-like pools, unique standing stones inscribed with poetry
- the Garden is rich with a sense of history and classical Chinese tradition.
The Garden also boasts a stunning collection of native Chinese plants - perfect compliments to the striking architectural details. On this trip, Pro photographer Tom Hassler will be your guide as you explore the Garden with your camera. The second session will be a review/critique of work created on the trip.
Participants should bring cameras and may shoot with film or digitally.
This trip will be led by Portland photographer Tom Hassler. Tom is the Co-President of the Portland chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP).
