This class is a chance to immerse yourself in a wonderful antique photographic process. You'll
learn to coat your own photographic plates with collodion to make tintypes and will experiment
with creating ambrotypes on glass. A hands-on shooting session with a large format camera will
be followed by an in-depth tutorial on the collodion process.
Master printer Ray Bidegain will be your guide as you experiment and refine your technique. At the end of the day, you'll have the
skills you need to continue working with collodion outside of class, and a few unique, timeless images of your own.
All materials provided.
Both class sections are the same class and are limited to four students in each.
This class will be taught by photographer Ray Bidegain. Visit his Website
