If you've got shutter speed and aperture under your belt
but need some practice to make perfect, this class is a
great chance to solidify your skills. You'll learn how to
use manual camera controls to enhance your creativity
and open new doors with your photography.
Class will cover long exposures, photographing in low light,
blurring and stopping motion, and creating images with
a beautiful, shallow depth of field to bring out specific
details in your shots. You'll also learn how and when to
use a tripod for greater stability, and how to override
technically "correct" settings to unleash your creativity
and still maintain control over your final product.
An ideal class for those looking to broaden their view of
the basics, this class is a recommended follow-up to our
popular intro classes, Learning to Use Your Digital SLR
or Fundamentals. Students must have SLR's with shutter
speed and aperture controls to take this class. Students
should bring cameras.
This class will be taught by Portland Photographer Zeb Andrews.
