If you've taken an intro lighting class and are ready for the next step, this class is for you. With the
guidance of a pro, you'll learn to use lighting to your creative advantage as you build scenarios from
the ground up. You'll get hands-on direction in the use of light modifiers such as reflectors, grids,
softboxes, and umbrellas while learning to photograph
models and still life shots.
This class is an excellent
opportunity to develop your technical skills so you'll
be better prepared to express your vision.
Required prerequisite: Lighting Basics or instructor's consent. Students should bring cameras and may shoot with film or digitally. Students may use the studio for five hours free of charge during their enrolled term.
This class will be taught by Portland photographer Tom Hassler. Tom is the Co-President of the Portland chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP).
