This in-depth beginning lighting class will kick-start your skills and help you build confidence
with basic studio lighting tools and practice. You'll get hands-on time with a variety of lighting
equipment in both studio and location situations while you experiment and create new work.
Instructive demos, creative trouble-shooting tips, and a focus on pre-visualizing lighting scenarios
will give you a solid foundation on which to develop
and refine your lighting skills.
Manual camera
proficiency and an SLR camera are required. Students
should bring cameras and may shoot with film or
digitally. Students may use the studio for five hours free
of charge during their enrollment.
