Let There Be Light
(L2-4)
Three Tuesdays, May 25 through June 8th
6:30-9:30pm
$115
It has been said that light is the subject of photography. Knowing how to use it successfully, however, is truly an art. This class is an exploration of the use of natural light and shadow in photography. You'll fine-tune your eye to the transformative qualities of light and learn how the right light can make even the most mundane subject beautiful.
Through an examination of the work of other photographers and hands-on shooting assignments, you'll learn to develop a deeper awareness of light in the world around you. You?ll also learn key technical tips for shooting in different natural light situations, so you can approach your subject with confidence. Students should bring 10-15 prints.
Instructor Frank Lavelle teaches at the Maine Media Workshops and Santa Fe Workshops.
