Photographing at night presents a bevy of technical challenges for both film and digital photographers. Learn to rise to the challenge with veteran night photographer Jeff Mawer. Classes include fieldtrips and a comprehensive review of equipment, film, and exposure considerations for shooting in extreme low light.
Students will also learn to photograph star trails and play with the magical process of light painting. This is a great chance to roam the Portland streets at night in the safety of a group and to get hands-on experience with this unique subject. Students may shoot with film or digitally.
The first class will be held at Newspace where you will look at work and then head out to shoot later in the evening. Bring all of your equipment with you to the 1st class.
