If you're new to digital photography, or if you're self- taught and want to fill the gaps in your knowledge, an expert guide is an invaluable resource. In this hands-on beginning Photoshop class, you'll learn how to take advantage of Photoshop CS4's fabulous bag of tricks as you set the foundation for an easy, efficient digital workflow.

You'll learn to organize, size, and save your images, work with RAW files, use layers, make tonal corrections, retouch, and much more. Learning Photoshop will literally revolutionize your photography. If you're fed up with the limitations of entry-level programs like iPhoto or Elements, or suspect you're doing things the hard way and want to take the next step, this class is a must.

Both instructors are Adobe Certified Photoshop Experts. Students may use the digital lab for five hours free of charge during their enrollment.

Please note: This class is for the full Photoshop program only - not Photoshop Elements.

Section 1 & 4 (Fall) and 4 (Summer) will be taught by Adobe Certified Photoshop Expert and Portland photographer Susan Bein. Susan has taught classes on digital topics for over twelve years and her experience includes thousands of classroom hours with a hugely diverse student population.

Sections 2 & 3 (Fall) and 3 (Summer) will be taught by Adobe Certified Photoshop Expert Mark Fitzgerald. Mark is the author of three books on Photoshop - Adobe Photoshop Lightroom & Photoshop Workflow Bible, Photoshop CS3 Restoration and Retouching Bible, and Adobe Photoshop CS4 After the Shoot.
