Picasa: Digital Imaging Made Easy

(L1)

Saturday
March 13th
10am-1pm
$45

Now that you've figured out what all the buttons on your camera are for, it's time to learn how to get the pictures out of the camera and onto the computer. This class is a follow-up to our Learning to Use Your Digital SLR Camera or Point-and-Shoot class. Working with the free, user-friendly program Picasa, you'll learn how to upload your images from camera to computer and edit, print, resize for email, and display your images in easy-to-share web albums.

Photographer Rebecca Forbes Benoit of Pixelegacy will introduce you to a bevy of helpful image editing skills like reducing red-eye, cropping and sizing your pictures, changing contrast, and turning color images to black and white or sepia. This class is perfect for the casual shooter interested in gaining solid basic skills. Students should bring images on memory card or usb drive.

Recommended prerequisite: Learning to Use Your Digital SLR Camera or Learning to Use Your Digital Point & Shoot.

This class will be taught by Portland photographer Rebecca Forbes Benoit.
