This workshop is a chance to explore the rich beauty of the platinum printing process with master printer Ray Bidegain. One of the oldest photographic processes, platinum printing produces images renowned for exquisite tonal range and superior archival stability.
Through demonstration and hands-on practice, you'll learn to make beautiful handcrafted prints of your own and will come away with new skills and a stack of prints. This workshop is a great opportunity to study with a true master of the art, to immerse yourself in a timeless process, and to see your images in a new light.
Students should bring their own negatives, all other materials provided.
Note: Platinum printing is a contact printing process - images will be the same size as the negatives used to print them. If you have 35mm or 2 1/4 negatives and want them enlarged prior to the class, please email Ray Bidegain at ray@raybidegain.com Ray will need at least one full week to create enlarged digital negatives for you.
This class will be taught by photographer Ray Bidegain. Visit his Website
