In this class, you'll learn to use compact flash units off-camera to create fluid, versatile lighting scenarios without all the fuss and expense of larger lighting equipment. Known as "strobist" lighting, these out-of-the-box lighting techniques can add flexibility and a dash of panache to your lighting arsenal.
PDX Strobist founder Jeff Mawer will show you how to position and manipulate small speedlights, and how to reflect and modify the light they produce. Manual camera proficiency is required for this class. Students should bring cameras and flash units and may shoot with film or digitally. This class is a recommended follow-up to Conquering On-Camera Flash.
The class will be taught by Jeff Mawer.
