Tomiko Jones

[artist website]

Tomiko Jones works in a narrative form, allowing stories to unfold through images rather than words, then to be interpreted through the mind of the viewer. Working primarily with the photographic medium and the use of self as subject over the past decade, she has completed the most recent Landscapes (2005), following the exhibition of The Bunny Chronicles (2002). She has exhibited on the west coast (Seattle, Portland, California), Hawai’i, New York and abroad in Mexico City, Mexico and most recently, her Landscapes series was exhibited at the Upfield Gallery in Tokyo, Japan.

After a long residency in Seattle, Washington, Ms. Jones is currently working towards her MFA at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
