Lighting Studio Hours

Hours vary depending on class schedules. The studio is available as early as 8am for FULL DAY shoots Monday through Friday only. Reservations can only be made between 10am-6pm 7 days a week.

Rates

Hourly

2 hour minimum

  • $50 / no lights
  • $75 / with the Profoto strobe light package
  • $25 / to add the Speedotron strobe package
  • $60 / with in-house hot lights

 

Full Day

8 Hours

  • $275 / no lights
  • $295 / with in-house hot lights
  • $350 / with Profoto strobe package
  • $50 to add the Speedotron strobe package

 

$20 for each seamless backdrops used. (up to 20 ft.)

Newspace has a wide variety of 9ft and 12ft paper seamless backdrop paper available for use.

 

Student/Artist Rate

For non-commercial shoots only.

$25 / hour with lights. 2 hour minimum.

This rate only applies if you are a student working on a project or just wanting to practice or you are an artist wanting to shoot images of your paintings/sculptures/furniture/etc. You must let us know of your student status at the time of your booking and present a valid student ID the day of your shoot.

 

Deposit

A deposit is required to reserve studio time, which is refundable up to five days from reservation date if a cancellation occurs. There will be no refunds or credits if you cancel with less than five days notice or fail to show up. Newspace is not responsible for giving refunds due to illness, emergencies, or events beyond our control.

 

Use of Strobe Lights

Newspace offers a variety of studio lighting courses and one-on-one training. This is REQUIRED if you have no prior knowledge of strobe lighting and are planning to use our strobe lights. Not required for the usage of our hot lights.

 

Film & Video Shoots

We are able to rent our studio for film & video shoots ONLY if sound is of no importance. We have a lot of ambient/daily activity noise throughout the space which we are unable to control for sound sensitive projects.
